Indonesia. A predominately Muslim society, but not exclusively Muslim. There is a large Christian Chinese population and the island of Bali os almost all Hindu. I have shot only in three locations in Indonesia; Sumatra, Bali and the island of Kalimantan (aka Borneo). By far the friendliest people I have ever photographed where on the island of Sumatra. I have shot only in three locations in Indonesia; Sumatra, Bali and the island of Kalimantan (aka Borneo). By far the friendliest people I have ever photographed where on the island of Sumatra. Muslim women and men both sought me out to have their pictures taken. Many times they would take photos of me with their cell phones. I would go back to Indonesia in a heartbeat.
